Got jury duty this morning... Probably be some drug dealer or gang banger that the cops should have shot before they cost us any more money. Oh, well... I guess everyone's entitled to a fair trial before we hang 'em!
The best excuse I ever had that got me out of jury duty was when, as a drafter for the City of Juneau, I had been helping the arresting officer make up maps for presenting his case the day before.
The shyster couldn't get me out of there fast enough, and the prosecutor was struggling not to bust out laughing!
